AFI FEST is the longest-running international film festival in Los Angeles from 1987. Each fall, AFI FEST presents the year's most significant films. Featuring international work from emerging filmmakers, global showcases of films from the great masters and red-carpet gala premieres.
Established in 2007, the Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) are proudly brought to you by the City of Brisbane, Australia’s New World City. Berlin International Film Festival. The festival was created for the Berlin public in 1951, at the beginning of the Cold War, as a “showcase of the free world”. Shaped by the turbulent post-war period and the unique situation of a divided city, the Berlinale has developed into a place of intercultural exchange and a platform for the critical cinematic exploration of social issues. To this day it is considered the most political of all the major film festivals.
The Nika Award is the main annual national film award in Russia presented by the Russian Academy of Cinema Arts and Science. It was established in 1987 in Moscow by Yuli Gusman, and ostensibly modelled on the Oscars. The Russian Academy Award takes its name from Nike, the goddess of victory.

The basic concept of the Karlovy Vary IFF comes out of the Czech Republic’s advantageous geopolitical location at the crossroads between Eastern and Western Europe.
