The MTV Movie & TV Awards (formerly known as the MTV Movie Awards is a film and television awards show presented annually on MTV. The nominees are decided by producers and executives at MTV. Founded in 1992.

The Nika Award is the main annual national film award in Russia presented by the Russian Academy of Cinema Arts and Science. It was established in 1987 in Moscow by Yuli Gusman, and ostensibly modelled on the Oscars. The Russian Academy Award takes its name from Nike, the goddess of victory. 

International Film festival Rotterdam is approximately comparable in size to other major European festivals such as Cannes,Venice, Berlin, and Locarno. The first festival was organized in June 1972.

Sochi Open Russian Film Festival is the largest national film festival. Every year in June, on the Black sea coast in Sochi, the top talents of Russian cinema come together: directors, producers, actors, script writers, directors of photography. Founded in 1991.
